Body Surgery

Here at West Valley Hospital we have highly regarded and experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeons who have undergone intensive specialist training in plastic surgery. They can perform a range of plastic surgeries to improve the function and appearance of specific parts of a person’s body or skin. They offer convenient and local appointments to discuss in detail your individual plastic surgery needs. We offer excellent aftercare in a relaxed and restful hospital setting.

Arm Lift

An arm lift tightens and reshapes the area between your arm pit and your elbow, often referred to as ‘bingo wings’.

An arm lift is usually performed under general anaesthetic and as a day case if performed alone and takes up to two hours. Your surgeon will make a long incision on the inner arm between your armpit and elbow. They will remove skin and fat and lift the remaining skin and tissue. Liposuction can also be performed with the arm lift.

A labiaplasty (also known as labial reduction), is a plastic surgical procedure to reshape or resize your small lips of skin on either side of your vaginal opening, called labia minora.

The procedure is performed under either local or general anaesthetic and takes approximately one hour. Any asymmetry in the size or shape of the labia minora can also be improved.

Lower Body Lift

A body lift removes excess skin and fat from the lower body that may remain after significant weight loss, to provide a better body contour to the buttocks, hips, and tummy areas. A circumferential ring of tissue is removed from the lower body and it is combined with a full tummy tuck.

Thigh Lift

A thigh lift surgery tightens and improves the overall appearance of your thighs by removing any excess skin folds in the upper inner thigh.

It is usually performed under general anaesthetic with an overnight stay and takes two to three hours depending on the extent of surgery.

Liposuction surgery, also known as lipoplasty, liposculpture, or lipo, removes stubborn pockets of fat that won’t shift despite regular exercise and healthy eating. It is performed to achieve an improved contour that is harmonious with your desired aesthetic appearance.

Liposuction surgery should not be engaged as a weight-loss tool. It is best performed if you are of normal weight and in body areas where you have tight skin.
