The average recovery time for a body lift is four to six weeks, but this will vary from patient to patient and also on the treatments performed. You will be able to return to work after three to four weeks, depending on your occupation. You should avoid heavy lifting, strenuous exercise and sports, and swimming until your surgeon gives you the green light to do so. This is typically six weeks after surgery.
Swelling, bruising and tenderness should lessen after four to six weeks and will improve by three to six months.
